55 Boats have made the trip to Hervey Bay for the 2013 National Titles. The first day of racing on Sunday 30 Dec 2013 was postponed with a Strong Wind warning current in the Hervey Bay area and gusts up to 28 knots recorded on the course.
Winds on Day 2 were slightly less and four races where held. Race 1 was held in 15 - 18 knot breezes with the wind picking up for the remaining 2 3 and 4.
The 5.8 fleet was dominated by Scott Sandilands on Trucking who finished clearly ahead of second place Shane Russell on Mid Life Crisis and Bruce Potter on Venom finishing the day 3rd overall.
Michael Guinea finished the day first overall in the F18 fleet with Mal Richardson a close second and Dale Michael third.
The 16 sq fleet became a battle of the square tops v pin heads. Geoff Horsely on Live Free of Die finish first overall for the day with his pin head sail. Jarrod Potter was the first of the square tops finishing second with Corey Holden finishing a close third.
Richard Cullum showed great consistency in 4.5 fleet with 4 firsts in each race. Phil Robbins finished the day second overall with Karl Brazier third.
